Our team combines glass, photography, sculpture, welding, and design. Each member brings a different background and set of skills to the studio.
Julie Lesová
Glass Casting, Cold Working, Wet CollodionFounder and director of Kolodium Glass. Trained at the Secondary School of Glassmaking in Kamenický Šenov. Professional experience in glass cutting, kiln-cast sculpture, restoration, and wet collodion photography. Her commissions include work exhibited at the Venice Biennale (2023) and kiln-cast crosses presented to Pope Francis (2025). Since 2025, she has mentored six artists from five countries through the full glass casting process.
Nela Bártová
LampworkingArtist working across sculpture, glass, sound, and poetry. MgA. from the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague (Sculpture 2 studio). Glass experience from a study placement at UNARTE Bucharest (Glass studio) and the Bild-Werk Frauenau glass symposium. Her debut poetry collection was nominated for the Magnesia Litera award and her second collection won the Jiří Orten award in 2026.
Alžběta Kešnerová
Welding, MetalworkDesigner and certified welder with a background in industrial design from the Faculty of Architecture at CTU Prague. Her work spans set fabrication for Czech Television to welding the return module for the Project Hydronaut underwater research station. She holds TIG and MAG welding certifications.
Oliver Švolík
Administration, Financing, FundraisingLawyer, photographer, and glass artist. Studied law at Masaryk University with a focus on IT law and data protection. Over eight years in legal and compliance roles, most recently as Senior Counsel and DPO at Kiwi.com. Previously a freelance graphic designer. At Kolodiumglass, he handles financing, administration, and external fundraising including grant applications. Also active in the studio as a photographer and glass artist.
